2017-2018 New Student Registration

Please come to the main office in February to pick up a registration packet to complete at home. Registration night for NEW Kinder, 1st & 2nd Grade 2017-18 students will be on Thursday, February 16th from 4:00p.m. to 6:30p.m. in the Learning Resource Center at Henking. Please bring: a completed registration packet, your child's original birth certificate and registration fees (check or cash). You can see more information on dates and times here. Second Grade Fine Arts Showcase

On Thursday, December 15th, the 2nd grade students performed five acts of Aesop's Fables.  Their amazing performances can be viewed here.

Kids Care Food Drive

October  17th - 21st, the students of D34, OLPH and D30 are coming together in conjunction with Character Counts week, to collect food items to be donated to the Northfield Township Food Pantry.  Drop boxes will be located in each school. Daily collection tallies will be listed by grade level.  Check out how your grade is doing across the community.

Vote for Books

We are getting ready to kick off this year's Book Fair on Oct. 18th - Oct. 19th with our very own Vote for Books battle.  Three Book Fair ‘candidates’ are nominated as being the Best of the Book Fair and we need our Henking Hawks to select the best Book for the job.  Please click here to bring up the voting ballot and may the best book win!   

Waste-Free School Lunch Week

Let’s teach kids how to cut the waste and help the earth! Each day during the week of September26 th -30, we will weigh the lunch garbage for 1st and 2nd grades, and we will track our progress over the week. Kids will learn about the importance of reusing, recycling, and not wasting. What can you do?
*pack reusable items in school lunches
*recycle at home and talk about recycling with your child
*talk to your child about eating lunch and not throwing out large amounts of food, serve your child realistic meal portions.  To volunteer and help during lunch, please contact jenmilw@hotmail.com
