	jjj	School-Community Initiative The students of District 34, Our Lady of Perpetual Help and District 30 are coming together in conjunction with Character Counts week, to collect food items to be donated to the Northfield Food Pantry. Items of great need are: pancake mix and syrup, pasta sauce, juice/juice boxes, coffee, tea, kid’s snacks/snack packs, cookies, crackers, macaroni & cheese, instant mashed potatoes, peanut butter, jelly, paper products, cereal, oatmeal, canned spaghetti, ravioli, chili, and corned beef hash. (Please check expiration dates.) Drop boxes will be located in each school. Daily collection tallies will be listed by grade level. Directions For Northfield Food Pantry Canned Food Drives 1. Boxes marked with grade levels will be located at a central place in your school building. 2. Students deposit cans in their grade level box by 10:30 am each day. 3. Cans will be counted by parent volunteers each day. 4. The totals will be in the form of a bar graph at http://he.glenview34.org/Canned_Food_Drive.htm.
